"SHEC offers a 4-day summer camp to familiarize kids with all aspects of riding and caring for horses. This gave my grandchild the experience, not only riding, but all the responsibility involved in caring for horses. She now takes lessons twice a week and loves it."

Sandi,
Baldwinsville, N.Y.

"My daughter was very interested in starting lessons. We knew Brenda and started by having her attend the summer camp. We thought it was a great way to try it out and see if she wanted to continue.

Brenda is great and provides excellent instruction. She helps to make my daughter feel comfortable, yet has high expectations and my daughter is learning a lot!"

H. Conroe, Syracuse, N.Y.

Camp

Throughout the year, we offer camp programs. The Summer Camp Program is offered all but one week during the summer. Similar camp sessions are offered over school breaks.

Each camp session runs from 9 am to 1 pm, Tuesday through Friday. Every camper will participate in a private 1/2 hour lesson, daily. When not riding, the campers will learn basic horse care, including safety, handling, grooming, and feeding, plus equine health care, elements of proper tack, and tacking.

Campers are asked to bring a bagged lunch and a drink with them, as well as bottled water. Required attire consists of jeans and shoes/boots, with a 1-inch heel. Campers are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather.

Registration and release forms must be filled out prior to the start of camp.
