"SHEC was highly recommended by a current member. When I came to Open House, I really liked the way the owner and trainer interacted with the kids.
They not only teach you how to ride, you also learn how to take care of the horse. You show up early to tack the horse and stay late to clean the horse.
The Equestrian Club teaches responsibility and the children can use the experience for future school/job."

Lucky Clover Equestrian Club
Club Basics
The Lucky Clover Equestrian Club is open to anyone who is interested in horses. It's primary goal is to provide community service, while exploring the world of horsemanship.
Members will hold a variety of fundraising events throughout the year. The money raised will be used to defray the costs of field trips, selected and arranged by the members. A portion of the funds raised will be used for charitable donations.
Officers are elected by the membership. Any club member, in good standing, can be nominated for office. Parents and barn staff provide oversight.
To join us, fill out the Equestrian Club Registration Form and bring it with you to our next meeting. The club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 6pm.
For more information about the club, please contact Jen at (315)569-1843 or Tess at (315)402-6270.
Recent Fundraisers
June
The club held a bake sale at the annual SHEC Open House.
August
The Equestrian Club just held a very successful car wash at the Baldwinsville-Lakeside Fire Station #2 on Sunday August 14th.
We washed a lot of cars and had a lot of fun.
The club, with the help of parents, provided hotdogs, hamburgs, drinks and treats at the SHEC-Affinity Farms schooling show at SHEC, on August 28th.
Charitable Giving
As a thank you to Baldwinsville-Lakeside Fire Station #2, for their generosity and hospitality, we donated 10 percent of the proceeds from our carwash back to Station #2.
In addition to volunteering at EquiCenter, we also donated 50% of our car wash proceeds to help them purchase some of their wish-list items.
Fieldtrips
October
On Monday, October 10th, the Club visited EquiCenter, a therapeutic riding center in Mendon, NY. While there, we volunteered to clean paddocks, wash feed buckets, weed, sweep, and a handful of other odd jobs. It was great to be able to see what they do there and to help such a worthy program.
New Club Name
At our meeting on September 15th, we voted on a new club name. Out of a dozen great choices, Lucky Clover Equestrian Club was selected. Our club colors will be lime green and aquamarine and we will be creating a club logo.
